PhD research:
This blog is a way to keep track of and share research, analysis and information relating to the role of developing countries in the UNFCCC climate change negotiations. So I post a lot of info about the BASIC countries in the Climate Change negotiations.
Non-PhD research:
I am also a part-time researcher on the Mitigation Action Plans and Scenarios (MAPS to its friends) programme which is “a collaboration amongst developing countries to establish the evidence base for long term transition to robust economies that are both carbon efficient and climate resilient. In this way MAPS contributes to ambitious climate change mitigation that aligns economic development with poverty alleviation.”
About me
I like maps (the real ones – especially ones that don’t use the ubiquitous Mercator projection ). One day I’d like to build my own house: recycled water, passive solar design, roof garden, hemp as building material and whatever else I can think of to make it as carbon neutral and inoffensive as possible. I also want a veggie and herb garden – but I’m going to have to outsource as I can only grow inedible plants!
